Half-Day of Qigong
with Sensei Ralph Miller & Jennifer Winick
Saturday, August 23
9:00 am - 12:30 pm, at our Center.
This is a fundraiser for Insight PV
Suggested donation $7—$20
(but no one will be turned away for lack of funds)
Walking Qigong: Participants practice extending
mindfulness to the feet and hands. This simple and gentle set of rhythmic
"Four Step Walking" is a dynamic meditation within a minimal
space. Primary respiration, the "three hearts", and the "four
gates" of Chinese qigong, will also be presented.
Cleansing Meditation: Participants are led
through a guided meditation which stimulates and
cleanses the qi flowing through the body.

An Evening of Interfaith Dialogue
with Sister Gail Worcelo
of Green Mountain Monastery, Vermont

Sister Gail is part of a new movement in the Catholic monastic tradition
inspired and trained by
Fr. Thomas Berry, social critic and environmental thinker. She has been
developing a comprehensive vision of a viable future for the Earth and
practices the ancient monastic values of prayer, community, simplicity,
hospitality, stability, silence, scholarship, sustainable farming, manual
labor, and the cultivation of the arts. She will share with us her vision
for a sustainable future for the planet, rooted in her Catholic monastic
training.

Bereavement Circle

This evening is dedicated to honoring our loss of loved ones who have
died recently or in the past. Please feel free to bring a photograph
or other small symbolic object if you would like to place it in the
center of our circle. We will have a period of meditation and time for
(optional) sharing.
