Buddhist
Peace Fellowship
Quarterly
on Thursdays
The Buddhist Peace Fellowship Pioneer Valley chapter has been welcomed
by Insight PV as it's gathering place for our chapter for almost
2 years. We have deep gratitude for the feeling of home that Insight
PV has offered with this wonderful sangha and space , as well as, deep
appreciation of the Center's sponsorship of our gatherings and events.
BPF-PV has been in the Valley for over five years, doing educational
and community work to bring dharma practice to social action. Most
recently, we have partnered with the Hampshire County Correctional Facility
in bringing a mindfullness program to the jail. We have also begun
'listening' circles in our general meetings to unite us as individual
Buddhists with our social justice efforts in our daily lives.
Meetings
will be held quarterly on Thursdays. The next meeting will be at the
Center on Sept. 4th from 7:15 — 8:45
pm.

• Based in Berkeley, California, the Buddhist Peace Fellowship
was founded in 1978 to bring together progressive social change with
the dharma. BPF's purpose is to help all beings liberate themselves
from the suffering that manifests in individuals, relationships, institutions,
and social systems.
With over 50 chapters in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, BPF actively addresses
issues such as the prison system, nuclear disarmament, the war in Iraq,
and supporting youth in dharma practice.
