Volunteering at Insight PV
A Gift of Time and Skills
Insight PV is able to serve the community because so many take delight in donating their time and efforts. Volunteering to help with the daily tasks of running the Center is an invaluable form of dana.
Tasks include serving on a committee, managing a class or event, offering administrative help, etc. If you would like to volunteer with us, please click here to fill out a volunteer application form, and email it to: general@insightpv.org.

At our Visioning Meeting, a number of folks expressed interest in helping the sangha do community service. Our first project is having a group contribute, prepare and serve several dinners over the winter and spring at the Interfaith homeless shelter in Northampton. Anyone who would like to contribute food and drink and/or help serve them, please contact Rick Hart at: rshart3@verizon.net, or call him at (413) 320-1886. Our next meal date in 2011 will be in February/March, please let us know if you want to help.
Multicultural Affairs Committee: Maya Liebermann and Emilie Woodward
Aware of the particular suffering generated by racism and ethnocentrism, Insight PV is developing an initiative to take action to help make the Center a more accessible and inclusive sangha to people of color and cultural groups that are underrepresented at IPV. We have a Multicultural Affairs Committee that meets regularly. We have made available at the Center copies of Making the Invisible Visible: Healing Racism in Our Buddhist Communities, and we also encourage you to read Unpacking the Knapsack of White Privilege. Please contact the Center if you are interested in being involved with this committee by emailing: general@insightpv.org.
Event Managers: Tara Balch, Lisa Colt, Paul Coombs, Leah Esrick, Mark Hatch, Maya Liebermann, Rachel Rahn, Jamie Smith, Kim Weeber, Tomasin Seabright and Emilie Woodward
May our efforts benefit all beings.
